We was planning to do some N Gauge class 81s this month but have now cancelled those plans.
The bodyshell become available just before christmas, but the designer has made it around 15 millimeters longer than the class 85 model that we was offering and they have now redesigned the class 85 to the same length as the class 81, both models are now longer than the class 86 which is incorrect .
Several interested customers have cancelled orders due to this quoting it looks like the designer was going backwards instead of forwards and now offering models that looked like Lima N Gauge.
We asked the designer why it was designed longer and we was told that N Gauge modellers wanted a simple class 81 and class 85 kit that just dropped on the Dapol class 86 chassis, we are unsure if a class 85 bodyshell that is the correct length will become available again or a class 81 which is shorter than the current model on offer. if they do then we will reopen our order book.
