N Gauge Class 81 AC Electric Locomotives - Taunton Rail Ex 2024

We produced some class 81 locomotives for the owner of the Hatch End N Gauge model railway earlier this year.

The bodyshells are 3D printed and have been fitted onto a modified Bachmann Farish class 87 chassis.

We did offer the N Gauge class 81 a year ago, but the design at that time was made differently and was stretched to fit a Dapol class 86 chassis and was longer than the class 85 models we were offering at that time, we cancelled all orders because we was not happy with the model being offered at that time.

The design has since been changed and is now a lot shorter, we currently have some N Gauge class 81 & 85 bodyshells on our work bench and are waiting on the bogie side frames to be re designed with more detail than what was on the original design, once done we will be offering these models for sale.
